I know this place has been dead for a couple of months now but trying to be one of the traditional blogger was not really working out for me. I love writting, posting and getting reaction of people who read my stuff, but the whole look posts wasn't my thing. The past couple of months I tried to come up with something and I think I'm on a good start

I want to have a blog about ART, PLACES, FOOD AND OTHER STUFF IN PRAGUE. simply sharing my experience with art exhibitions, books I read and unusual places I'm constantly finding and searching for. Lack of updates, I know. Past few weeks I have been trying to figure out what to do with this place and with my blogging. I feel like this really isn't my cup of tea-posting pictures of what I'm wearing and what have I bought but also I want to share things with other people through blogging.

So I was thinking, what should I focus on, what I know most about and I came to the idea of having a blog with HEALTH, BODY AND BEAUTY TIPS. Maybe some kind of diet that people can inspire of, especially young girls.

Growing up, I have always been obsessed with my body. I have been called anorectic, fat, bio freak, bulimic and many more and I think there is nothing wrong with trying to eat healthy at your teen age.

Don't take me wrong, I love junk food and I can eat Haagen dazs ice cream while watching a movie at 1 a.m. but I would want to take this blog as an oportunity to share our stories and tips for a healthier life.

So what do you think? would you join it?

I'm curently finishing ANYBODY OUT THERE from MARIAN KEYES, amazing author. I love her books even throug this one is pretty sad. SINGLE IN THE CITY from MICHELLE GORMAN is an easy book, something to read at night. Also there is NY guide that I just like to look in, keeping my dream alive. VOGUE COVERS for sketching inspiration. And then there's studying-driving school and FCE.

MAKE-UP

I won't be describing these, just my new summer tip. It is definitely worth spending a little bit more money on cosmetics that has better quality. Also in the hot weather the VICHI mineral water in spray is amazing refreshment, especially if you keep it at fridge.

DIET

Definietly trying to eat healthy even through it's really hard

Rome

While I was sighseeing in this beautiful yet so horrible city I realized I was writting imaginary travel book in my head. Maybe one day you will be able to pick up HOW I TRAVELED THE WORLD BY MONNA F. at your nearest bookstore.

Back to reality

Last minute trip to Rome with my mum and sister started with finding cheap flight tickets a good looking hotel, continued with lots of walking, sightseeing and wine and ended today few hours ago.

My pictures are going to get printed next week and then be scanned and posted on my next blog.

I'm the girl who things highly of herself while travelling. The one that judge tourists with backpacks and camera on their neck. The one that tries not to roll her eyes at a typical czech family that has silly comments and smart remarks. The one that's asleep through take off and landing. The one that asks for still water. I feel so bad when I see there's few of you that are still checking this site even through I haven't posted anything forever. Thank you, it means a lot. I have been so busy these couple of weeks or I wasn't in a mood to post anything.

But hopefully this summer I will have time to come up with something nice (possibly new blog), something that will be much better than this site. I want to paint, sketch, draw, take photos with my old cameras, sew, try some DIY and spend time on art exhibitions and in galleries. So if everything goes smoothly, soon you will be able to check my new blog with the first post about a trip to ROME with pictures from disposable camera.

Home made frozen yogurt

so being me and having four days of freedom(meaning no school) means getting sick, as always. Sore throat, high temperature and I'm even loosing my voice. And out of pure boredom I decided to make a frozen yogurt.

I chose the recipe from Jamie Oliver's cooking book(that I haven't used in so long). He is definietly my favourite chef and one of my favourites british person.

It's simple, what you need is 310g of frozen fruit, 500g of white yogurt and a honey.

Put the fruit in a mixer(exuse my old one, we don't use it very often so we don't feel the need to buy a new one) and mix it for about thirty seconds.

Then add the yogurt and two spoons of honey and mix it again for about a minute. Then taste it and if it's not sweet enough, add bit more honey.

Now you have two options, either put the yogurt into a frezzer where it will last for many weeks

or you can eat it, I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as I do

I love rain

my hair hates it but I love rain. Thursday afternoon I was out with my friends and it started raining. Before we got the chance to get inside, we were soaking wet.
I just wished there would be some camera protector so you could take pictures with it without being scared the water would ruin it. Definietly planning on some photoshoot in the rain, which is kind of impossible but it's worth the try.

Anyway, finally got over my writting block and I'm on a roll. I hope one day I will actually finish it and then have my own book on the shelf in a bookstores-we will see.

If there is one piece of jewelery I think of as my favourite right now, it has to be this brown wooden bracelet/bangle. I bought it in Prmark(London) for only one pound and I adore it.

Also this sunday I got(among other things) this purple nail polish in H&M, they have some good ones there, I will definietly get some more when I go shopping again.

So today my dearest friend from school had a birthday but me, stupid little thing, completely forgot about it. She's not really an outgoing person and not many people in class wished her and I could see she was really sad about it. I felt so bad for forgetting it. So I thought of a way to make it up to her, bake her some muffins. I think she will appreciate it even more because everyone knows I can't cook or bake for the sake of my life and the only thing I can use in the kitchen is toaster, microwave and coffee maker. So the first thing to do was get some recipe- I searched the net and found this amazing czech page muffiny.cz

Getting stuff was the harder part because our kitchen hasn't been properly used since 1995.

The recipe is simple and easy, you put the ingredients together(that includes two bars of chocolate) and then pour it in the paper cups for muffins or cupcakes. If you would like the excact amount of things just write me and I will send it to you or post it here.

Luckily I have been to Ikea recently and bought this adorable looking paper cups.

then you just have to bake it for twenty minutes and muffins are done.

To make them look better, I decided to put chocolate on them and decorate them with mini marshmallows from M&S simply food and chocolate bonbons.

I hope she will like it and that it will make her feel better about her birthday

since I have no new photos and I finally(!!!) manage to get my scanner to work on my notebook, I thought I shared with you some of my sketches and silly drawings. But since most of them need a little worok in Photoshop(and I have that on diferent computer), I'm going to post just a few scans from my moleskine diary and as soon as I edit something more I will post it as well.

Luczis told me today I should put something on my blog so even through I have no time at all I decided to do it, I know I am bad at keeping promises on articles but I am in a happy mood today. I was in school this evening to see a really cool presentation on universities in USA and UK and I'm really excited about some facts I have learned(maybe I will share them with you if you are interested)

anyway, here are few(really just few) details snapshots from code mode. Dunno why I took so many pictures of tights and shoes-it imperessed me and I felt so boring with my black ones.

Thank god it's friday

I'm still pretty much out of it. When I got home today I went to the bathroom, sat down with my book I'm reading and fall asleep. I haven't been this tired in a very long time, I'm actually thinking of skipping tonights party-the weekend program is pretty full and I want to get some energy.

travelling and school don't mix together

I'm realizing that my travelling adventures and school don't mix together. I'm so behind my exams I don't think I will ever catch up. Today I wrote a history exam, don't you just hate it when the teacher gives you an extra hard version just because you missed the first one? And tomorrow there's an english, geography and math. The rest of the classes I'm ususally so out of it, I just sit in my own little world and draw, thinking to myself, if only I was at least a little good at it, I would quit this school and persue my career as a paintor or something. But I'm not so I have to study all day/night long and I don't have any time left for my blog I'm sorry. There will be something new during the weekend.

hippie girl dates a bad boy

That's what I say when someone asks my what my style is, since it is a stupid question and I never know the answer-it changes every day. Right now I am really into mixing flowery hippie things with something black( and a bit of punk).This "style" seems to be really popular around the world but I haven't seen anyone in Prague wearing it, so I don't feel like the biggest copycat here.

I love Prague as my hometown, the center is amazing place to just walk around. I love these old buildings and the colour they have when the sun is shining on them.

we discovered that when you buy a drink downstairs in the dancing house you can go up on the roof and there's amazing view. We are broke so we didn't go but we added it to our TO DO list.

I would add more photos of my friend Lucy but I'm scared she would kill me if she didn't like herself on the picture.

Tate modern

Tate modern is a gallery of modern art from all around the world. I wish in Prague there would be these kinds of museums and galleries as well, free entry and amazing art.

Tate is extremely big and there are many art rooms with different type of modern art(in which you can not take pictures so these photos are just a few outside of them)

if you are not a total art ignorant then while visiting London, you should definietly visit this place, it's amazing. We spent two afternoons there.

For me one of the reasons I could stay there all day was this big book store, full of art, design and fashion books. I wanted to spend all my money there since I love these kinds of books. One day I want to have many shelfs in my flat full of these. After long thinking I decided to get a Vogue covers (I love it, and I will scan something for you) and I get two doodle books (one for me and one for Lucy- look here to see her article on it-I will do one too).

I hope you are enjoying this articles and don't think I just want to brag about my trip. That's not my intention, I just loved this trip so much and I want to share some of it with you.

London

As you all know(since I talked about it so many times) I had the oportunity to go to London with my friends.

I was excited every since we booked our flight and there was no way in backing out of it, no changing minds from our parents. We were living in a flat that owns a friend of mine(amazing place it was) and everything was perfect.

I love London. I love the rush in the streets, I love british fashion, I love their coffee in paper cups, I love their politeness and the fact people are much nicer to you than here in Prague.

I love their complicated underground, I find amuzing how often they remind you to mind the gap.

I love the fact their ride on the other side of the rode, their red busses and the fact every other person drives a Range rover.

I love how you can find old building next to new modern bridge and think to yourself how well they fit together.

I love London as long as no one is forcing me to go to the London eye. My hair hates the weather but that doesn't bother me. I know London is not the best city, the cleaniest or safest but I can see myself fitting there, and I hope one day I will be able to live there for a while( but NY is still my dream)

This I wrote yesterday, proper article as soon as I get some sleep¨

LONDON

I’m sitting in one of my new favorite places to EAT., when I look up there’s a Topshop, I’m enjoying two cupcakes,fresh orange juice and few last hours in London I have left and I really really really really really really really really don’t want to leave . I’m done shopping and have time to look back at this whole trip. It has been nothing amazing with no problems( lets just hope the flight home will be just as smooth as everything else) and I am so glad my three great friends and I had the chance to live in London for free in amazing flat. We’ve seen many things I want to share with you but that I will write after I get a long sleep, do nothing and watch all the tv shows I missed(hey, I haven’t got time for that over a month, I can’t even remember the last time I didn’t have to be up early).

That’s all for now, my battery is nearly death(since someone forget to take the charger) so I will write in few days with amazing PHOTOS, VIDEO and GREAT THINGS FROM THE CITY THAT GOES TO SLEEP REALLY LATE.

Today our art teacher took us to the Galery Rudolfinum in Prague to visit the HERBERT TOBIAS EXHIBITION and I loved it.

Tobias was a german photographer(1924-1982) who was(among other things) a fashion photographer and worked for Vogue.

He was gay( which caused him many troubles in his life) and found interest in taking pictures of other men(preferably naked). I have to admit this part of the exhibion I didn't like and passed it quite quickly(I have NOTHING against gay people, I just don't have to see it in the art gallery)

The exhibition is in Rudolfinum till 28.march so you should definietly go see it, he was added to the list of my favourite photographer

Let me tell you the story- I went to get some sushi for lunch, then I was supposed to meet my friend, Bjedka. I had a bit of time so I decided to pop in my favourite shoes shop. I walked in with "Relax Monna, breath in, breath out, you will just have a look around, maybe try a pair ot two, but you are not going to buy anything because you don't need any more shoes" yeah right- When I saw these I just had to have them- They are pretty, cheap and BLUE.

I decided to name them(yes, someone gives names to their camera I give names to my shoes) Bjedka-since I!m naming my shoes after my friends and she was the one who saw them first and enjoyed my excitment with me.

Anyway, I got my new notebook today and let me say, as much as I love him, it' annoying when you have to download everything again, favourite my pages again and copy all of my files and music again, so that's what I did all sunday-pretty boring.

I'm not a big fan of school projects but today was fun. We were(well the group of people in my class, I was just a photographer) having Japan and decided on doing sushi and showing some horrors. I migh post more pictures later but I am really busy today.

What I wanted to show you are these kimonos that did a friend of my classmate, Dan(he's a future fashion designer :-) ) and I absolutely adore them.

I'm super busy right now, my moleskine is really full. I want to do some coverage of London fashion week but I haven't even got time to properly look at collections and I still have some stuff from NYFW I want to share with you. Then I'm taking part in Tribute to Alexander McQueen this saturday so I want to do a bigger article about him. I hope I can squeeze these in, but my life is insane right now(but I love it)

Sunday mess

A little sunday blogging about nothing for you. I'm going to try and keep it short but I have so much on my mind, even when I know you don't really care.

Lately I've been miserable about this blog, it doesn't get as much attention as I would like (that's me, I'm impatient. I want everything RIGHT NOW), and when I write an article and don't get any comments I want to quit it, but then I look at the side bar and see there are people coming here so it can't be that bad. Plus I love writting!
Anyway the reason there's no any lookbook updates or photoshoots with clothes is that I'm a bit tired of my closet, but saving my money for a shopping spree in LONDON
(soo excited about that trip, but about that later). 'I actually shot something yesterday but didn't like it at all, so decided not to post it.

Today I am a mess, and if you follow me on twitter you have already seen this picture

As you can see my socks don't match,the shirt is not mine and is way to big on me(but soo comfortable).

My closest friends are always out of their mind when I start talking about my hair because, lets face it, I'm kinda obssesed with them. I can't snad someone else touching them, but I always play with them and I use the sentence My hair looks bad today almost everyday.

I got them cut yesterday because they were getting way to long and heavy. It's a little shorter than I wanted to but I'm quite happy about it, even through it's kind of unusual and I can't get used to it. On the pictures they do look kinda messy but that just because I went out yesterday and didn't have time to wash them yet (let me tell you, they smell soo bad)

anyway NYFW ended( but doesn't mean I don't have milion things I want to show you) but the LONDON FASHION WEEK begun, and I'm excited about it, because there's going to be a new collection for Topshop and much more.

Recently I was asked how is my shoes collection project going and to tell the truth, I have been so busy with everything else I haven't really spent that much time working on it, but I have decided to show you a little(very little) sneak peak. Only few sketches of ones that I really liked, but I sure have a long road ahead of me

(as I am looking at the last one, I don't really like them. The pre-sketch looked better, going to have to re-do them)

btw. @Teen_Vogue just tweeted every during Issac Mizhari show and they made me want to see the collection so bad, I hope is as good as they tweet (Teen Vogue's twitter here )

One things I have always hated about art and fashon is the fact sometimes we love things just because they are BY someone with good name. For instant I hear Marc Jacobs this and And Marc Jacobs that, but tell me, what is so special about his few latest collections? I know someone is going to hate me for this, but I didn't like his Marc Jacobs collection in NYFW AT ALL and it surprised me when everywhere I go I heard(or read) how amazing it was. So either it was because it was BY Marc Jacobs or I'm a fashion ignorant(dunno.)

To prove I am not trying to put him under the bride, his collection Marc by Marc Jacobs had light moments. There were still pieces when I was like WTF, but some of them I love(viz. pictures).

I'm loving it. It reminds me of Topshop and british colorful style. Who says fall season has to be only grey and sad? Especially then the bags and shoes, so amazing. Plus models on this runaway look amazing, and don't even get me started on the hair-WONDERFUL

Before I go get my sushi fix in this resaturant today I decided to share it with you.
MAKAKIKO RUNNING SUSHIis one of my favorite places to eat and if you live in Prague(like me) or ever visit Prague and you are going to crave for Sushi, this is a place to go. There's two of them, one at shopping mall Palladium, the other at shopping mall Nový Smíchov, but the first one is much better. It might sound bad that it is in shopping mall with lots of other restaurants around and people walking right beside your tables but the sushi is delicious and the prices are ok as well. You can sit next the running pass, where you EAT ALL YOU CAN for prize(300kč-400kč) and you have the choices from sushi to meat, desserts and other japanese food( so if someone doesn't like sushi he can chose something else). The only problem is that it might be harder to get a seat. Or you can sit to the normal tables where you get basically the same, expect you order what you want and that's it. When I first started going there I always went to the pass but I always got so full and couldn't move for the rest of the day, that's why now I always go to the table and order 12 pieces of californian sushi for (250kč) and japaneese tea.

Today everythings seemed to be going downhill so when I heard about Alexander Mcqueen commiting suicide I got really upset. I can't believe he's gone but we can only hope he's in a better place now.

His work wasn't crazy, it was british. It wasn't just some clothes, it was an art. He did what he loved since the age of three, always energetic always on the top of the game.¨

I DO. It's called 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU which is a tv show inspired by the same named movie(that I love as well) and I'm so excited because the other half of season 1 is coming in march and today the @ABCF10things (yes they have twitter) posted a link about new stills from the show

So excited about that kiss, I feel thirteen over again.

I don't want to spoil too much if you might be interested in watching it, but basically it is a teen show based on the movie(but it's not same) and you get to see Kat and Bianca, two sisters with overprotective father as they go through high-school, boy troubles and popularity. It's really funny and the people in it are great as well, you should definietly watch it.

Chanel

It would be crime if I didn't start with Chanel. I would say Chanel is always in the same mood, light colours, classic style, perfectly shaped and it's always working! I would love this collection if it wasn't for the horible thights(or whatever is it they are wearing on their legs) and silver heels- that really ruined my opinion. Love the hairstyle through.

Elie Saab

When I read Elie Saab left the hollywood style behind and did a romantic collection I was like NO. If you are reading this blog from the beggining you know I'm a huge fan of his dresses, and I was a bit scared of him romantic style but I loved it. Few dresses were too much for me, but that might be because I'm the anti-romantic type so sparkling and flowery stuff is not really my thing. But the colours!! When I saw that light blue and yellow I was really amazed-well done.

I'm finally feeling a lot better and I should be doing my school work but have been writing my book Untouched nonstop. I have the story for quite long time but the problem with me is, I only can focus on something for short time then I get bored and do something. Also I'm easily distracted but now I got into it again and I can't wait to finish it.

The name is inspired by the song Untouched by VERONICAS (click to hear the song on youtube). It's amazing song and I've been obsesed with it for so many months and to this days it still is my most played song on my iTunes(and that says alot because I listen to music A LOT). listen to the lyrics-so amazing.

Anyway I decided to show you guys the short plot of my book, a rough version of the text that would be on the back of the book(I hope you know what I mean)

I'm so sorry for not updating these past few days but being me, after I finally got all my grades I got sick. But not usually sick . means I am not too sick to go to school, but too sick to do anything else, do you know what I mean? I was feeling so down I had to get my cold coffee frappucino(which is crazy, because it's so cold outside but I just miss it) and then I would sit in Starbucks just reading book, drawing and listening to music.

Anyway this is just a quick post for you to know I'm still alive.

My Polyvore, it's really bad but I was bored today. You know how much I love travelling? And I am very specific and organize when it comes to that.

mid-term is finally over and I can put my legs on the table for a while, but I won't because I can finally put my head into things I actually like and care about.

Boyfriend jeans- I'm always wearing tight jeans so I want to try something different-baggy and ripped.

High heels-best would be in some amazing colour, but I always end up getting black ones because they go with every dress.

Sneakers- for summer

As expected this week is as crazy as the last one, I even skipped few classes today so I could study for my last exam this school term that's tomorrow. I know I can't concentrate on school work at home so I got lunch(yummy pasta salad) and coffe at coffee heaven and sit there for few hours with my notes. Can't wait for this week to be over and get back to my life.

To the point, lately I'm in love with big bracelets/ BANGELS, especialy the ones reminding the time of Cleopatra and faraons, or antic Rome and Greek. Or I really like black studded ones, the rock chick style. And I found them more comfortable than necklaces, dunno why. Just imagine wearing simple jeans and plain shirt, but the bangel on your hand will add to the perfection.

When I look outside I'm actually glad I have to stay home today. I had my alarm clock set up for 9 am(which is early for me) and been doing my chemistry project since. I've settled in our kitchen, which lately is my favourite place to hang out when I'm home(irony because I am not really eating that much these days), but maybe it is becasue of the yellow collor it makes me optimistic (I designed that kitchen). Still I got bored after few hours so I put some music on, took my camera and did some photos.

the days seem to be passing by without saying hello

These vlogs (you will easily recognize them by having webcam pic on the top) will be some rambling(my days, music and stuff) so you can skip it if you don't care, because it might get a bit boring.

Those few days passed bye like nothing, all I (and I am not the only one) did was studying and trying to get back to the rutine that I truly hate. This weather makes me want to scream-guess I'm the california kind of girl. During midnights(thanks to my insomnia) I wanted to pack my bags, take my savings and leave somewhere far aways so bad it hurted inside my chest. But I know I have to stick it up another week, then the school will get a bit easier again. On top of that I'm trying to lose a bit of christmas weight so I can't even make a hot chocolate to school, buy a junk food and eat it in my bed or sneak up to the kitchen in the middle of the night and eat peanutbutter with spoon while sitting on the floor. I still have so many things to do and the worst is coming this weekend- chemistry(I hate that subject), but hopefully it will be alright.

I couldn't sleep last night (yay insomnia) so I was drawing and this is what came out of it. I know it's nothing extra but it was 2 a.m after all. What do you think? Would you wear then?

What comes to your mind when I say Jimmy Choo?

I think of New york city, the capital city of the world, the city that never sleeps, the city of my dreams. I think of IT girls there, walking down the streets on their Jimmy Choo heels, talking on their Blackberry phone. I think of shoes addiction, big shoe closet with heels you don't need, but you can't help it. I think of going out with your friends to the new club, holding a funky Jimmy Choo clutch, it doesn't matter to you that your dress is boring or simple, because that clutch brings the attention you need to feel on a saturday night. Anyway, I'm sorry for being absent these past days but everything was just so crazy. I want to wish you Happy New Year, let all your wishes come true and keep your all resolutions.

Year 2009 in your closet

I came up with this little project and I would want you to join me, it's on the base of What's in your bag that was recently done. I went through my closet today and came up with few specific pieces and I want you to do the same-

you can make photos and write why you chose that one, of course you don't have to do all of these or you can add your own it's up to you. It's hard to explain so here's mine list.

1)favourite piece

My favourite piece is this grey-red-purple T-shirt that I got in Dublin in this cheap shop that I can't remember the name off. I think like this year everyone wore these but I didn't like the ones with belts and kinda over the top so I am really glad to own this one. Plus you can put different shirts under it so it looks different every time.

2) piece you have bought but never put on (yet)

I got these dress at Zara and I love them, I wanted to take them to a ball but then I realized they are supershort and I was little scared about that(knowing my clumsinest), so I am still waiting for the good time to wear them...maybe New year party?

3) piece you regret buying

I don't know, maybe I will like these dress in summer again, but I haven't wore them since the summer ended. I was really overwhelmed when I walked into HUGE Topshop in Dublin so that's maybe why I chose them.

4) the most recent piece you bought

Yesterday I bought this leather grey bag, because I needed bag shaped like this(that's what I say everytime I buy something) and it was in a sale and a crime if I didn't buy it.

5) favourite accessorize

This year I was really into scarfs (this one is from HM) and bracelets. I love putting differrent types of bracelets on my right hand-mixing vintage, new, wooden, shiny and others together.

6) most worn out piece

I hate buying new jeans so I wear mostly these black jeans from HM, they are really worn out and I'm going to have to get a new pair real soon. They go with everyting and I just simply love them.

7) favourite cosmetics

The most important thing for me is having clean skin (living in the city it can be really difficult). I tried a lot of cosmetics over the years and my favourite is Garnier skin naturals collection that I use twice a day and I think the difference is really seen. And recently I found these amazing Face masks in HM (btw. I love make up there) so I use them every once in a while(I like the raspberry smoothie that is for pore clening)

8) piece you were excited the most about

I mentioned my slipper boots so many times but I was definietly most excited about them. I saw these kinds of slippers on the internet and then in Tophop but I was worried they wouldn't have my size, but I tried the biggest one (size L) anyway and they fit me, I fel like a little child.

My old favourite piece is this blue and white T-shirt that I found in a closet that we have in our cottage. It belonged to my mum and I took it.

Yesterday I went shopping and I found this amazing shirt in XXL size in ZARA. It doesn't really fit me(since I'm not size xxl thank you very much) but I love oversized things-especially when you match them with leggings or tight jeans. And of course my winter boots, I don't really wear anything else in this weather.

I thought I wasn't going to have time this morning to write something small but I couldn't sleep very well so I was up early and got ready not realizing I still have time. I'm still very tired(I fell asleep around 5 in the morning) but I will probably just take a nap in the car. I got my Christmas presents, I made my side ponytail, I downloaded some new music and games to my iPhone, I have my Relax drink (from coffee heaven- I love them), a book and a pillow. I'll see you in few days

Black dress- cheap or necessary?

Every must-have list includes short black dress. You can wear them everytime you don't want to be overdressed or underdressed or when you don't have anything that fits the occasion. Plus black goes with every other colour so you don't have to worry about matching shoes, accesories or, purse. The bad thing about this tip is that everyone knows it so when you show up in black dress people might think you didn't want to spend the money or that the event isn't too important for you. I don't know, so I would like to ask you what you think- CHEAP OR NECESSARY?

Today I went to this small local library to pick up some books for me to read during holidays and I came upon magazines section and I was surprised when I saw Interview magazines. I know this magazine only by covers since I never had the chance to buy one, so I was really excited for it.

(I borrowed this one- December 2006)

Interview is magazine about fashion, art, music, culture and film and I found it amazing mostly because of his retro look and amazing photoshoot they do with celebrities. It's definietly not a newbie, being published since 1972. Over the years it went through many changes and nowdays the look of the magazine looks fabulous- in this retro deep style.

Everyone knows that MTV is no longer only music television. It broadcast loads of shows(real or fake), from stories of life to night shows. In this article I would like to share with you my shows that I watch that includes fashion world.

THE CITY

We all know this reality show is fake (just as hills) but it show you fashion industry in NY. From Whitney working for a crazy boss in a PR company, helping at fashion shows and photoshoots and trying to design her own line to Olivia having a job in Elle magazine, not getting along with her co-worker. There's about twenty episodes so if you are bored or ill there's nothing better to watch than a group of girls trying to make it big in NY.

STYL'D

A new show where five people compete against each other in MMA junior assistant program. MMA is well known company for styling many celebs in LA. They must help their senior assistants and impress them along the way and also deal with their own personal problems. I love it also because this is the job I would die to do one day. The finale wasn't air yet and unfortunately I don't know when it will be.

TRUE LIFE

True life is following people with different problems from moving to different country to having husband in Iraq. I found two episodes that might got your interest. The first one is about two girls dealing with shopaholism and the other one is about three girls at Fashion week in NY, one of them is assistant of the crazy boss I menioned earlier in the City show, other is a student in fashion school that have their own show in of the tents and the last one is having her own boutique and having a show without any financial support.

Victoria secret's fashion show 2009

I never really got what the buzz was about when it came to Victoria secret's fashion shows, but yesterday I found a whole footage of the show on Youtube and I finally understood. Victoria secret's put SHOW into FASHION SHOWS. There's dancers, singers, different themes and of course beautiful models.Not only do they look amazing, not to thin, but they seem to be enjoying the show, smiling, waving and having the freedom to do something crazy on the runway. They make it look like so much fun. Plus in the footage you get to hear and see a little scoop behind the scene. It's not describable, you have to see it for youself

There's a book about Victoria secret model called Trading up. It's from Candace Bushnell(who wrote Sex in the city, 4 blondes or Lipstic Jungle). I've read it and I've loved it so if you like these kind of book you should deffintely buy this one.
